Acacia Art and Antiques is located at 69 Main Street in the downtown shopping district of Bisbee. The store is open every day of the year except Christmas and Thanksgiving from 10 AM to 5 PM.
With close to 5000 square feet, our store has 2 floors of antiques and collectibles, with 15 separate dealers, Acacia specializes in western and regional, mining artifacts and objects, vintage clothing, architectural items, household items, furnishings, period artwork, jewelry - new and vintage, early and mid century collectibles of all descriptions and offers art work of several local artists.
The building Acacia is housed in is the old Palace Livery. This building dates from 1909, and replaces the original wood Palace Livery that burned in the great fire of October 1908.
Carriages and wagons were parked on the first floor and the second floor was where the horses and mules were stabled. The draft animals were lifted to the second floor by means of a hand operated elevator. Later, an electric motor was installed on the elevator, and the motor and elevator are still in use today.
